Cookie Policy
Latest update: June 24, 2026
This document informs Users about the technologies that help Clomni achieve the purposes described below. Such technologies allow the Owner to access and store information (for example by using a Cookie) or use resources (for example by running a script) on a User's device as they interact withClomni.
For simplicity, all such technologies are defined as "Trackers" within this document — unless there is a reason to differentiate.
For example, while Cookies can be used on both web and mobile browsers, it would be inaccurate to talk about Cookies in the context of mobile apps as they are a browser-based Tracker. For this reason, within this document, the term Cookies is only used where it is specifically meant to indicate that particular type of Tracker.
Some of the purposes for which Trackers are used may also require the User's consent, depending on the applicable law (including the GDPR in the European Economic Area). Whenever consent is given, it can be freely withdrawn at any time following the instructions provided in this document.
Clomni uses Trackers managed directly by the Owner (so-called "first-party" Trackers) and Trackers that enable services provided by a third party (so-called "third-party" Trackers). Unless otherwise specified within this document, third-party providers may access the Trackers managed by them.
The validity and expiration periods of Cookies and other similar Trackers may vary depending on the lifetime set by the Owner or the relevant provider. Some of them expire upon termination of the User's browsing session.
In addition to what is specified in the descriptions within each of the categories below, Users may find more precise and updated information regarding lifetime specification as well as any other relevant information — such as the presence of other Trackers — in the linked privacy policies of the respective third-party providers or by contacting the Owner.
This Cookie Policy applies to:
- https://clomni.co (marketing website)
- https://my.clomni.co (agent workspace)
- https://sso.clomni.co (registration and SSO)
- https://docs.clomni.co (documentation)
- The Clomni website widget embedded on customer websites
- Related subdomains operated by the Owner
For personal data processing beyond Trackers, see our Privacy Policy.
Activities Strictly Necessary for the Operation of Clomni and Delivery of the Service
Clomni uses so-called "technical" Cookies and other similar Trackers to carry out activities that are strictly necessary for the operation or delivery of the Service.
First-party technical Trackers
| Name / type | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|
| Session / authentication cookies | Maintain logged-in agent sessions, secure access to the workspace, and protect against cross-site request forgery (CSRF) | Session or as configured by the browser |
cx_conversation | Persist widget conversation state on websites where the Clomni widget is installed | Up to 365 days |
cx_snooze_campaigns_till | Remember when proactive campaigns were snoozed in the widget | Up to 365 days |
cx_user_{website_token} | Store hashed visitor identity for the widget (when the site passes user data toClomni) | Up to 365 days |
These widget cookies are set on the host website's domain when the Clomni SDK is installed, using SameSite=Lax where supported.
Browser storage (local/session storage)
Clomni may also use local storage or session storage (not Cookies) for strictly functional purposes, such as:
- UI theme and language preferences
- Temporary auth flash messages during login/signup flows
- Widget sound/mute and greeting display state
- Recovery after application updates (chunk reload flags)
These technologies are used to operate the Service and generally do not require separate marketing consent.
Third-party Trackers
Spam Protection
This type of service analyzes traffic and form submissions, potentially containing Users' Personal Data, with the purpose of filtering automated abuse and spam.
hCaptcha (Intuition Machines, Inc.)
hCaptcha is a spam-protection service used on Clomni registration, email verification, and related public forms when enabled.
- Personal Data processed: Tracker, device/usage signals, and challenge interaction data
- Place of processing: United States and other locations per hCaptcha infrastructure
- Privacy Policy: https://www.hcaptcha.com/privacy
Note: Clomni uses hCaptcha, not Google reCAPTCHA.
Traffic Optimization and Distribution
This type of service allows Clomni to distribute content using servers located across different countries and to optimize performance, availability, and security.
Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.)
Cloudflare is a traffic optimization, CDN, and security service. Clomni production properties may route traffic through Cloudflare, which filters communication between Clomni and the User's browser and may set security-related cookies (for example bot management or challenge cookies).
- Personal Data processed: IP address, Tracker, request metadata
- Place of processing: Global edge network (including the United States and the European Union)
- Privacy Policy: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/

Other Activities Involving the Use of Trackers
Measurement and Product Analytics
Clomni may use Trackers to measure product usage and improve the Service. These are enabled only when an analytics token is configured on the installation.
Amplitude (Amplitude, Inc.)
Amplitude is a product analytics service used in the Clomni agent workspace to understand feature usage and improve the platform. When enabled, it may receive pseudonymous identifiers, page/event names, and account metadata (not end-customer message content via analytics events by default).
- Personal Data processed: Tracker, Usage Data, pseudonymous user ID (
user-{id}), account group ID - Place of processing: United States
- Privacy Policy: https://amplitude.com/privacy
Error Monitoring
Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.)
Sentry is used for application error and performance monitoring when configured. It helps diagnose crashes and technical failures. Depending on configuration, it may process IP addresses, browser information, and limited request context.
- Personal Data processed: Usage Data, device/browser metadata; limited technical context on errors
- Place of processing: United States / EU (depending on Sentry project region)
- Privacy Policy: https://sentry.io/privacy/
Sentry is a reliability tool, not an advertising network.
OAuth and Channel Integrations
When Users connect third-party channels or sign in via external providers, those providers may set their own Trackers during the authorization flow. Examples include:
| Provider | Typical use onClomni |
|---|---|
| OAuth sign-in (where enabled) | |
| Meta (Facebook / Instagram / WhatsApp) | Channel connection and messaging APIs |
| TikTok | Channel connection |
| Microsoft | Email channel connection |
Each provider's cookies and terms apply during their authentication windows. Users should review the respective privacy policies before connecting a channel.
Clomni Widget on Customer Websites
When a business installs the Clomni widget on its own website, the widget may set first-party cookies on that website's domain (see table above) so returning visitors can continue conversations.
Businesses usingClomni are responsible for informing their own website visitors about the widget's use of cookies, where required by law, and for obtaining any necessary consent on their sites.
Payment Processing
Checkout and billing flows may redirect to or embed services operated by payment partners (including ePoint in Azerbaijan). Payment providers may use their own Trackers during checkout. Clomni does not control those providers' cookies.
Trackers Not Currently Used byClomni
To avoid confusion, the following categories commonly found on other SaaS platforms are not part of the core Clomni application at the time of this policy, unless explicitly added to a specific property and disclosed separately:
- Google Analytics, Google Ads, or Google Optimize
- Facebook Pixel / Meta advertising remarketing
- Mixpanel, Segment, Hotjar, or similar marketing analytics (other than Amplitude where enabled)
- Advertising networks (e.g. jsdelivr advertising tags)
- Customer.io or bulk marketing automation pixels
If additional Trackers are introduced (for example on the marketing website), this policy will be updated accordingly.
How to Manage Preferences and Provide or Withdraw Consent
There are various ways to manage Tracker-related preferences and to provide and withdraw consent, where relevant:
- Users can manage preferences related to Trackers from directly within their own device or browser settings, for example by preventing the use or storage of Trackers.
- Additionally, whenever the use of Trackers is based on consent, Users can provide or withdraw such consent by setting their preferences within the cookie notice (where displayed) or by contacting the Owner.
- It is also possible, via relevant browser or device features, to delete previously stored Trackers, including those used to remember the User's initial consent.
- Other Trackers in the browser's local memory may be cleared by deleting the browsing history.
- With regard to any third-party Trackers, Users can manage their preferences via the related opt-out link (where provided), by using the means indicated in the third party's privacy policy, or by contacting the third party.
